About Dr. Butterfield
Dr. Lauren Butterfield graduated medical school from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, where she completed a residency in general psychiatry and specialized fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry. During residency, Dr. Butterfield received extensive training in medication management, psychodynamic and cognitive behavior therapies, family therapy, and group therapy. She also did extra clinical rotations focusing on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) during her training.

Dr. Butterfield feels comfortable treating ages 3-50. Dr. Butterfield is passionate about the way music, theatre, and the arts can be used to help combat mental illness. She enjoys finding ways to incorporate these modalities into therapy and her patient's lives. Dr. Butterfield believes in a full body approach to the treatment of mental health. She will use medication if indicated, but also stresses the importance of therapy, diet, exercise, and mindfulness techniques.

Meet Cricket the therapy dog
Cricket is a teddy bear puppy (bichon frise/shih tzu mix) who is here to provide comfort to those who are interested in snuggling with her. She is a very good listener and is excited to give love to everyone. She does have hypoallergenic fur for those who are allergic to dog dander.
